Director of Marketing – North America, based in Washington DC 20006
LTU Technologies, a fast growing company specializing in image mining and analysis solutions; recognized as the leading provider of automated image analysis solutions for computer forensics, law enforcement and intelligence investigations with customers in leading agencies worldwide. Is rapidly defining the growing online content filtering; management; social networking; user generated content; and photo sharing domains currently fueling much of the growth being experienced by emerging online entities (Web 2.0). Currently seeks a Director of Marketing based in its Washington, DC - headquarters for North America; reporting to the VP of Sales. The ideal candidate must add value in the following areas:
Product Marketing
- Fit between LTU products & market needs
- Participation in development product functionalities
- Packaging & documentation (e.g. Product sheets, User guides)
- Graphical design & Product ergonomics
- Link between R&D and Sales teams
- Educating & training sales about products (new versions etc)
- Feedback to R&D from sales team
- Demos (including demo CD) and demo scripts
- Production validation
- Version numbering
- Pricing recommendation
Communication
- Pitch / boiler plate
- PR agency management
- Website (content/graphics)
- LTU visibility stats (online, press)
- Search engine visibility
- Corporate brand definition & internal enforcement
- Newsletter / blog
- Event organization (brown bag meetings)
- Identifying/Attending/Exhibiting at tradeshows (incl. logistics coordination)
- Handout creation
Analytical
- Market sizing (per Vertical, Geographical)
- Sweet Spot Identification
- Recommendation to sales team
- Responding to sales team requests
- Competitive Watch/Forecasting
- LTU positioning
- Product benchmarking
Sales Support
- Enable Sales process by
- Create/check presentations, handouts
- Create/check demos
- Create/check sales pitch
- Train to ensure sales team’s perfect product knowledge
- Organize events/meetings in partnership with sales team
This role will provide continuous communication between all key LTU operational areas (Sales; Professional Services; R&D; and Executive Staff). Familiarity with the US Federal Law Enforcement community (FBI, USSS, DOJ, and DHS) as well as US DOD and Intelligence communities is preferred. Likewise, experience working with Private sector clients in the Media, Online and Intellectual Property markets is a clear plus. Travel required.
Qualified applicants should have 5-10 years of Marketing/Communications/PR experience ideally with a software firm or other technology provider. Superior communication skills; both written and verbal is a must. A strong grasp of business issues; growth oriented; leadership acumen; superior attention to detail; tremendous presentation and interpersonal skill are required. Ideal candidates are multi-taskers with leadership aptitude who can rapidly respond to change while maintaining attention to various key details of LTU’s sales delivery process. BS/BA required; Top 20 MBA preferred
