Director of Marketing - North America
LTU Technologies is a fast growing company specializing in image mining and analysis solutions. LTU is recognized as the leading provider of automated image analysis solutions for computer forensics, law enforcement and intelligence investigations with customers in leading agencies worldwide. LTU is now rapidly expanding its products and markets towards online content filtering, including, social networks; user generated content sites, photo and video sharing services. We currently seeks a Director of Marketing to be based in its Washington, DC - headquarters for North America reporting to the Sr. VP of Worldwide Sales and Marketing. The ideal candidate must add value in the following areas:
Product Marketing
- Help adapt and fine-tune the fit between LTU products & market needs. Participate in:
- product specification and definition
- version numbering
- pricing recommendations
- Graphical design & Product ergonomics
- Product Packaging & documentation (e.g. Product sheets, User guides)
- Link between R&D and Sales teams
- Educating & training sales about products (new versions etc)
- Feedback to R&D from sales team
- Demos (including demo CD) and demo scripts
Communication
- Pitch / boiler plate definition
- PR agency management
- Website redesign and update
- Handout creation
- LTU visibility stats (online, press)
- Search engine visibility
- Corporate brand definition & internal enforcement
- Newsletter / Blog
Analytics
- Market sizing (per Vertical, Geographical)
- Sweet Spot Identification
- Recommendation to sales team
- Responding to sales team requests
- Competitive Watch/Forecasting
- LTU positioning
- Product benchmarking
Sales Support
- Identifying/Attending/Exhibiting at tradeshows (incl. logistics coordination) with sales team
- Sales or press event organization (brown bag meetings)
- Create/check presentations, handouts
- Create/check demos
- Create/check sales pitch
- Train to ensure sales team's perfect product knowledge
Familiarity with the eDiscovery, Computer Forensics, Traditional or Online Media, Social Network, or Intellectual Property markets is a clear plus. Travel required. Applicants should have 3-5 years of Marketing/Communications/PR experience. Superior communication skills; both written and verbal is a must. A strong grasp of business issues, growth oriented mind, leadership acumen, superior attention to detail, tremendous presentation and interpersonal skill are required. BS/BA required. Top 20 MBA preferred.
