LTU Technologies Demonstrates Image Search and Recognition Solutions to International Audience at Milipol Paris 2007
Executives presenting technology and sharing success stories at booth #3R132
LTU Technologies, the global leader in image search and recognition solutions, today announced its attendance at the Milipol Paris Show 2007, an international trade show representing the best organizations and professionals in the field of security and security services, including manufacturers, end-users, buyers, investigators and law enforcement officials from around the world.
Located at booth #3R132, LTU will display its forensic-quality tools needed to quickly navigate and manage visual content, such as images and video, for investigation, intelligence gathering, intellectual property protection and liability/risk management. LTU’s core technology indexes the pixels of an image to create a digital signature or "image DNA” that describes the key visual features of each image. This approach has proven to be more effective than the use of keyword tags and binary file identifiers alone.
LTU’s customers include United States Department of Homeland Security (ICE), the Department of Defense, Interpol, the French Police and the Italian Police.
Image-Seeker, one of LTU’s powerful solutions, enables investigators to more quickly uncover previously unknown photographs or videos associated with a recent crime or current case in progress. For investigators, Image-Seeker speeds the image sorting process, enabling field officers to quickly identify, and compare known seized images to photos in the database that are exactly the same or similar, or even slightly modified. In addition, the technology allows for the secure sharing of these materials by state, local, federal and even international law enforcement authorities.
“The Milipol Paris Show is a perfect opportunity for us to show attendees from around the world the power of image search and recognition solutions,” said P. Kevin Smith – Sr. VP of Worldwide Sales and Marketing. “Today criminals are more technologically advanced than ever; the crimes being committed over the Internet no longer stay within geographic borders. Our technology not only saves investigators a tremendous amount of time but, it also allows agencies to solve crimes across jurisdictions in ways that never could have been done in the past.”
