LTU technologies Introduces Image Search and Recognition Solutions to Litigation Professionals at the Computer Forensics Show

LTU Technologies, the global leader in image search and recognition solutions, announced today its participation at the inaugural Computer Forensics Show on February 4 – 6, 2008 at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC.

In session L15, on Wednesday, February 6, at 1:00pm EST Alexandre Winter, LTU Technologies CEO and co-founder, and P. Kevin Smith, senior vice president worldwide sales for LTU, will present Finding Evidence and Clues Using Pixels to an audience of litigation, accounting and IT professionals. The presentation will detail how image search and recognition solutions can be harnessed to identify the pixel content of images and videos in computer forensic examinations – thus uncovering evidence that otherwise would have been very challenging for investigators to identify.

More specifically, LTU will demonstrate the ways in which pixel-based identification can be leveraged to enhance image search in sectors as diverse as law enforcement, intellectual property infringement, and enterprise search.

LTU’s core technology indexes individual pixels of an image to create a digital signature, or “image DNA,” that represents the key visual features of the image. This technology makes it possible to effectively analyze the pixel content of various types of digital content (photographic images, videos, or others) involved in forensic investigations. This approach has proven to be a successful compliment to the traditional use of searching for images using keyword tags and hash code identifiers. Likewise, LTU is packaged for effective use whether an investigation is being conducted on an individual hard drive or over a network.
